I love American history and I loved most of this book.  It only dragged a few times during its epic 600 pages.  Stephen Ambrose is a Lewis and Clark connoisseur and it shows in this book.  The history of Thomas Jefferson’s relationship with Meriweather Lewis, the Louisiana purchase and then the actual amazing trek that Lewis and Clark made with their team of dozens.  It was a great book.  I have Ambrose’s D-Day and I look forward to reading that someday.
